Gone Blind

by Luke   Apr 29, 2005

I grasp my senses as they fade
Condition worsens day to day
And I feel my temple failing
As the change looms over
The sun now breeches tides of black
A numbing chill beneath my wings
And I feel these demons grasping
At my collar, pull me down
So dark now

I fear I'm losing my sight as Everything fades to black
A burden in dying light, knowing That I cannot go back
I fear I'm losing my mind, a Helpless child
Helplessly losing it all, as Everything fades to black

This cataract filling my eyes
Is helping me be helpless
I watch as the candle dies
Going down and taking me with it
Confined now only to night
A nocturnal prison cell
Distraught and catching a sight
Of nothing
Even darker

I fear I'm losing my sight as Everything fades to black
A burden in dying light, knowing That I cannot go back
I fear I'm losing my mind, a Helpless child
Helplessly losing it all, as Everything fades to black

I feel that the earth is slipping
