Awakening

by Ð맆îñ¥   Apr 29, 2005

Oh melodramatic fool, my heart you shall bear
Within such foreboding times, at least this love we’ll share
My heart depends on vital strings
To keep together love all things
For my heart has broken the instant you left
I’m alone, shocked, bereft
How could you leave me? If love were a flower
Its seeds gone and the petals no power,
Not over me lest I seek another
If I keep on running how much ground shall I cover
I’m always searching for some sign you’re here
I spend my nights hoping wishing you’re near
I couldn’t bear to think you in pain
Shock will have stilled it again
Our lives, full of choices, possibilities divine
The cold, cruel awakening; you’re no longer mine
