Stealing your glow

by Sinister Soire   Apr 29, 2005

Your crystal eyes once clean and clear
Are fading to dull steel
Rosy cheeks once soft and tender
Become cold to my feel

Your life slipping through my hands
And onto the cold hard pavement
Blood red paint upon my hands
Your soul cursed enslavement

Why did I do such a task
Why did I take your life
Why do I sit here mourning you
While I still hold the knife

Your supple hair once long and flowing
Is crumpled in a mess
Cheerful smile once bright and gleaming
Now displays distress

My tears flowing down my face
Into a growing puddle below
Icy rivers on your skin
Stealing away your glow

How is it you can write all these great poems? Makes me upset with my own suck talents. This had a great dark flow and brilliant word choice.

I cant say anything about this, because I'll only begin to cry! Which really shows how deadly tired I am. Exellent, this one was closer up to my feelings than any other poem I've read. which probably sounds really weird. I think I better go to sleep now.
