My Poem To You

**This was for my friend. I thought maybe some of you could read this too and realize that some of your friends may be there for you more than you think...Please rate so I know what you all think.**

Sometimes it hurts to see you in so much pain.
You put on such a good mask sometimes that no one knows you're not the same.

I know how it is when we're depressed and down,
we feel so unloved and our emotions run so deep and it seems our strength disappears.
We're supposed to see the brighter things in life,
but we know so many bad things and feel so much pain that we can't,
there's such a thick mist of darkness and negativity.

Sometimes you even know people are there for you or they're supposed to be,
but you hide your feelings to protect them.
You feel as if there's no one in which to confide to.
Sometimes there is so much of a difference between what you feel and know.
You hold so much inside and feel as if sanity is leaving you,
you just want to scream and cry.

Realize that a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step,
maybe you should also remember that everyone cries too.
So you don't always have to hide it,
you've done nothing but care.
Everybody is a little different in their pain,
so I'll never try to tell you how you feel.

But you don't have to put a mask on so much around me.
I've gained a bit of my sanity and a little light back,
and I want you to know that I'm someone you can confide to.
I'm sorry if I ever seemed like I wasn't there for you.
I love you so much.
