Fake Smile

by Jessy   Apr 30, 2005

The smile that I paste on
Hides everything that has gone wrong.
It won’t show even a glimpse to my past
The memories for me alone will last.

Friends they think that I’m so happy
They don’t see how my life is crappy.
I have mastered the art of the fake smile
No one can detect it within a mile.

Alone I can let that smile slip away
Unfolding like a soft mushy lump of clay.
I wish that could let them see how I really am
But I know that it would only scare them.
