Angels With Broken Wings

by Tricksy   Apr 30, 2005

They look down on her,
As she lay there broken inside.
The words the shriek
As they fly by,
Are words to unkind to say.
Her long hair,
Dirty and tangled,
Her skin so fair,
Bruised and mangled.
They treat her so poor,
But in their hearts they know,
That she just wants to let go.
And fall
Fall into a darkness so sweet,
That she’d never come back
For she’s an angel with broken wings.

A friend is someone we turn to
when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure
for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives
    with beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the whole world we live in
    a better and happier place.
