Only Friends..

I hate to be the bad guy,
I hate to be so cruel,
But what am I supposed to do,
When these feelings are not true?

I love just being friends,
But you want to be more,
My love just does not transcend,
The friendship that I adore.

I hope I didn't hurt you,
I never wanted to,
I just wanted to be true,
So you could make it through.

Again I am sorry,
For all I've put you through,
Life is like a safari,
It's very hard to view.

So after all of this,
I hope we can still be friends,
Because I know I'll miss everything,
We had if it does end...
