Death...then what?

Death…then what?

How do we know,
That life after death isn’t worse than life itself?
What if we are left with all our pain,
but with no friends or health?

Imagine being locked alone,
for all eternity,
no chance to forgive,
no human contact, hugs or kisses,
could you really live?

Maybe after death our pain magnifies,
And we suffer in total silence,
Dwelling on problems day after day,
Feeling relentless acts of violence.

What if our body stings for all time,
after the pain of “sweet suicide,”
What if your heart suffers forever,
Because it knows you never tried?

What if we are just left in a dark room,
to listen to our hearts gentle cry,
Regretting that time you jumped off that bridge,
Remorseful that you had to die.

Maybe there’s no reincarnation,
That were we’re heading, only pain is cast,
We don’t know where we are going,
Why are we trying to get there so fast?

Suicide could just be a terrible mistake,
Because we don’t even know,
Where exactly we are heading,
Where we are so desperate to go.

Suicide is such a dumb thing to want,
Please just listen to me;
Don’t even try to kill yourself,
because you don’t know where you’ll soon be.

***Please people, suicide is not a cure, it could be a curse, we don’t know. who knows where some are heading? I have tried to kill myself more times than I can count but I have now realised that it’s not a good idea. Please don’t do it, we are here for a reason.***
