Proud to be Me

I used to think,
Boyfriends were everything,
Then I realized,
Being single is the best thing,

There is no pain,
Nor heart break,
Never ending tears,
Or awkward dates,

Free to be ourselves,
Hug and kiss,
Anyone we want,
Nothing to miss,

Girls aloud,
Be proud of what you are,
Single or not,
Happiness isn’t far,

Take it from a heart,
That’s open to see,
Life isn’t just love,
I’m proud to be me.
