I am a poet

In my heart I am a poet
Though I know I am not the best
It is a way of true emotion
So my feelings can be put at rest

In my mind I am a poet
I do not write for the benefit of you
I write to express, I write to breathe
Do you write for this too?

In my soul I am poet
Though it eats my life away
As I sit up, writing, my only way to live
Find myself sitting writing every day

In my head I am a poet
Though I don't suppose you agree
Pour my feelings through my pen
An explanation of the real me
