Untitled Thoughts

I stare through total darkness
In the silence of the night
All my hatred fades away
And everything seems right

I open my mouth, only to hear,
A smothered cry for love
I wait there in the emptiness for
Two arms that never come

I feel the pains flow through my veins,
and my body gets so weak
I close my eyes to make it go away
As a tear rolls down my cheek

There's a tingle in my wrist
As temptation embraces my hand
I feel the stinging of the blade
As once more it forms a brand

I try to stop the bleeding as i stare
out at the stars
I feel the shame wash over me
and glance down at all my scars

Each one tells a story of
all the pain that i've been through
and yet all of them are different
I know it all began with you

I lie down with an empty heart,
hoping i don't awake,
wishing silently to myself
that if i don't your heart will break..
