Saying good-bye

We all make mistakes
but I don’t know how much more I can take
I love you more than words can say
I love you in every single way
but you lie and cheat
and you’re the reason tears fall down my cheeks
you say you’re sorry every time you do me wrong
and you never mean to do me harm
but I can’t keep taking you back time after time
and I can’t put the past behind
I need to do something because you hurt me too much
I can’t let you go because I need your gentle touch
I’m so confused and I pray for God to hear my cry
knowing that’s it’s time to say goodbye
to the only boy that holds me together
to the only boy I want to be with forever
saying good-bye is so hard to do
especially since I love you
