Mirror, Mirror

by dezi   May 2, 2005

Mirror mirror on the wall,
"who is the saddest of em all?"
"You of course" it screams back
shaking me down,
I begin to frown.

How can this be I once was happy?
Please tell me.
"You let your life go,
and forgot about your soul".
The mirror continues as it glows.

"Your soul is dying,
you should of known.
It's so empty,
it needs to feel life.
you need to be loved,
and you need to let love come inside".

Your spirit is gone too,
you lost it long ago.
From a man who was
once in your life.
You let him take it,
without a fight.

To get back,
all that was lost.
You must listen close
and not give me flack.
I nod as she continues...
"You must learn to love the image you see.
After all that image is of you,
or should i say me".
