How can I stop the tears from flowing,
Knowing that you're gone?
Knowing that I'll never talk to you again?
or never even see you smile?
I wonder how it will be
To walk down halls and not see your face.
I wonder how everyone will deal
Knowing you're gone and up in Heaven.
As much as I miss you being here
And wish God hadn't taken you away,
I know you're up there smiling down on us
each and every day.
I wish I knew why he chose you
because everyone needed you in their lives.
He obviously had his reasons,
I hope you're doing okay.
Maybe he needed you up in Heaven
and thought your work here was done.
He knew how you put a smile on everyone's face,
and how you were there for anyone.
I wish I could see you one last time
and tell you how much I miss you being here.
One day we will meet again,
And I know you'll be just as you were when you were my friend.
