The Story...

This is more of a true story than a poem i just needed to get this out...

*The 2 of them met a few months ago
It didn't take long before the 2 of them got along.
She was 15 and he was 31
He had a little boy and a life of his own before she came and started to tag along.
She was such a beautiful girl and had me along for life's wild ride.
Who was to know these complete strangers would soon become lovers
I didn't know what to do when the started to see eachother under the covers almost every night.
I didn't want to tell her how I felt because I knew it would break her heart
I could tell she loved him right away from the start.
So I pushed my feelings to the back of my mind, I didn't think he'd hurt her because he was "ever-so kind".
I soon realized I was very wrong.
He told her that his ex was pregnant with his baby.
I knew I would soon be getting a frantic call screaming "SAVE ME"
She is a strong girl but I knew she wouldn't know what to do, but with my help she'll get through.
She told me she was going to call her mom to bring her home.
Once she was home and her family went to sleep, she stayed up and overdosed.
The next morning she was admitted to the hospital. She got sick and I got scared.
She was there for only a day and a half and is now recovering from her big break up. I felt partly responsible for her being in the hospital... I should have been with her not just on the phone with her. I could of prevented her from overdosing if only I had been there. I could have prevented all of this from happening if I had only told her my feelings...I screwed up big this time.
Although I am happy to say that she is on her way to being okay.*
