A Cheerful Hug

by Leah   May 3, 2005

One gentle touch from a stranger,
a soothing call from a voice to get better.

Mother nature, just a girl, crying hoplessly, creating rainy weather.

Tiny sparkling faerie, sweet an innocent heart,

you love me but you left me, I've been losing your love from the start.

Create an endless ocean, of the vows you promised to me.

With every drip of tears a cry, never once did I know your heart wanted to flee.

Could you promise me a butterfly, that will tickle my flushed cheeks,

Just whisper, "please get better."
Don't stop calling me for weeks.

A broken tiny heart, resembling that of a child,

Tears washed out to the ocean,
tender, soft, and mild.

Please cry for me, you left me,
now only a stranger can simply understand.

Whiping the tears away from my eyes, and holding onto my hand.

Mother nature please forgive me for what I've done to my spirit,

I've let it drain and slip away,
but the rain in my world, you must clear it.

But yes only I am a child that has lost but one tender love,

I'll move onto the light,
if this stranger will embrace me in a hug...
