Our Journey

Gazing in her eyes reveal our times that passed
The ups, the downs, and our running around
Though times can be rough, her heart is iron-cast
Words flow through us nary a whispered sound.

When time is reversed, she writes to her diary daily
Telling of a plea to find her heart's true match
Fast forward, here I come, and I stuck with her, no bailing
She returned the feelings and wished our hearts would latch

Fast forward once more, it's the 1st of May today
11 months, I gave her her wish, with no gripes or pouts
As Kid Rock in "Cold and Empty" would sing and say,
It's the life I love, but it's her I can't live without.

So from June, to October, to December, To April, to June again,
Not a day goes by without "I love you," because that'd be a sin.
