Undrawn tears

by ..::.alreadyGoNe..::.   May 3, 2005

We smiled on the outside
saying we're sorry
but we know we're really not
it's all just some act

putting on a one man show
acting all independent
though in our hearts
we knew we really needed each other

maybe this friendship is just fake
all that comes from our mouths is lies
and screams and cries and....
everything we couldn't take

i love you all
like I'm supposed to know all the answers
that get thrown at me
i try my best

but mostly i just step out
i can't take it
your problems and my problems
and take your's on as my own

and i trudge around with so much guilt
and stress that it weighs me down
i want to help you
really i do

it's just sometimes i cant
I'm too afraid to face things
i leave them there to fester
hoping they'll leave

but they don't
and i don't cry
they stay inside of me
even in the tensest moments

where no breathe is drawn
and no heart beats
and it fades into the endless darkened sky
where the stars are ever telling

and the moon dances
around it's savior the earth
and the undrawn tears
they get stuck in the clouds

and fall back to earth
settling back on me

I like it because I can relate. I would add in a metapore or two.
