Undone

Let me live forever in my world of dreams.
I become my perfect self as I gently sleep.
I play among the mountains high.
I watch the birds in the sky.

You find my beauty from deep within.
You promise me I’m gonna win.
I hear a melody soft and sweet.
As my river of blood seeps.

Let me go back to that place,
Where my lies aren’t on my face.
A fountain of my hope pours out.
It washes away the shadow of doubt.

In my dreams there’s no mirror image,
Of the life I plan to finish.
All my scars are hidden away,
With a light that blinds the way.

My body goes into a gentle rest.
It’s no longer seeking to be the best.
All my flaws come undone.
As I write each crimson.
