Raging Pain

by Jacklyn   May 3, 2005

Pitching the ball against the fence,
Through the pouring rain,
Relieving her stress,
Showing her hidden pain,

Reminiscing on her abuse,
On the yelling and his fist,
All her scars and the tears,
Her heart that will never fully heal,

Throw harder and fast with every pitch,
Let her anger vent again,
Let her tears fall with the rain,
Let the crashing of the fence,

Let her continue to show her pain,
Just let her anger rage,
Because no one ever stops her pain.
No one ever steps in between,

Her pain they all see,
But they just continue on with their day,
Leaving her pitching in the rain,
When she cries and blends with the rain.

As the thunder then begins,
Which blends with the crashing on the fence,
Which blends with the screaming words of hate,
All directed in her father’s way.

The lightening isn’t frightening,
She’s use to throbbing pain,
Stuck again and again,
To her it doesn’t matter if she gets hit again.

As the storm rages on,
Her pitches hit the fence,
But no one is there to help,
So her pain just rages on.

I can put myself in the shoes of the girl in this poem - you have written a poem which i can relate to, so thank you. It was a very angry piece - Like you wrote this one from the heart.

    Stay strong, Love yah always,
