Child In My Dreams

Child In My Dreams

Who is this child I see in my dreams?
Laughing and playing, whose life is at ease.

Who is this child who talks through my mind?
Her blonde hair is mesmorizing and not hard to find.

Who is this child in her little white dress?
She reminds me of someone whose name I cannot guess.

Who is this child who is kind beyond doubt?
This familiarity of hers... I know nothing about.

Who is this child with flowers in her hair?
She is so pure, her life must be fair.

Who is this child who amuses me to no end?
When she falls, my help is what I shall lend.

Who is this child who does not know pain?
She loves the water and plays in the rain.

Who is this child laying on the ground?
Why is she like this... how was she found?

Who is this child covered in red paint?
She was so innocent... her name is so faint...

Do you know the child who is dead in this dream?
She is my daughter, whose eyes no longer gleam...

*I do not have kids... I have no idea why I thought of this...*
