Not So Happy BDay

Based on a true story... of my b-day
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Happy Birthday" they scream out,
thinking I'm excited,
everyone talks to each other,
our family is reunited.

But they ignore me,
no one cares I'm the birthday girl.
They just continue on,
as my head continues to swirl.

I thought it would finally be my turn to shine,
It is the big thirteen,
but everyone continues on,
I'm not being seen.

Maybe I'm just jealous,
but I still feel so left out,
birthdays are supposed to be happy,
but I'm starting to have a doubt.

So skrew it all,
who cares I'm a teen?
I'm gonna continue to be ignored,
and continue to be unseen.
