i dont know the situation. but it wasnt your fault. and if you had talked to him that day, i doubt it would have stopped him/her. once people make a concious choice they don't usually change it. if they were that serious about it, there is little way to stop it. you shouldnt blame yourself. all the what ifs, or if onlys will drive you insane after time if they dont stop. its a good poem though, heartfelt. keep up the good work.
