Growing up

by Courtney Lynn   May 4, 2005

Growing up is so hard.
Feeling out of place.

I fall down, scrape a knee.
I really want my mom.
Tears weal up, but I can't cry...
I am a Man...

I pass a cute girl in the hall,
I try not to make eye contact.
She smiles at me, yet I can't notice...
I am a Boy...

What am I to do?
My voice is changing,
And so are my friends.
They're into girls, and tonka trucks.

Hair, Zits, Big feet, and Braces.
Clumsy, Shy, Gumpy, and Gawky.
My life as a Almost-Man
