Sudden Mistake

by Felipe Gomez   May 4, 2005

They're playing in the sand
running accross the field
jumping up and down
some holding hands
walking through the land

Kids being kids to be
people living there everyday
no wonders in their thoughts
nor problems they can see
but soon shall they all flee

By the middest hour
in the darkest night
and the sea gets rough
the dim light in the tower
and the water sour

Skies suddenly pitch black
and the moon bloody-red
darken clouds over the earth
crows, and black cats
the sky covered with bats

Where to go or hide
or what to know ahead
for something we dont know
who to take sides
when everyone will die

A sudden mistake ahead
an accident of horror
and an unforgetable terror
a scent of numerous dead
and after things that led

All around to the vision
everyone lying still
and the rise of the sun
becoming the rise of treason
a day without a mesion

Nothing moving throughout
nothing or no one breathing
or ever to be found again
only a few coming from a hidden route
seeing what had came about

Of the billions dead on the ground
only dozens survied
to stay in this solitary land
looking at the new world around
the earth was without a sound
