My Dream

Fly away birdy
Fly away be free
That's what I dream they are saying to me

They opened the cage to let me fly
Far far away into the beautiful sky
I'm free at last I thought to myself
Far away from my dreadful past

I feel the wind
Strong under my wings
As I beat them till they burn and sting

Only to wake up in a cage with
blood red bars
To find my dream of freedom destroyed

But only till I find sleep again where
I will let my dream of freedom ring
