Silently Missing You

by DeludedHonesty   May 4, 2005

I sigh and gaze,
Around the lunchroom,
My eyes find you,
And tears well.

You're there,
Without me,
You catch my eye,
And smile.

I smile back,
A forced smile,
But you don't notice,
And you turn away content.

I sigh again,
And twirl my hair,
As my so called friends,
Rattle on.

All I hear,
Are bits and pieces,
Of their silly,
Conversations.

She said what,
He likes who,
Can't they see,
That none of this matters?

All I see,
Is you,
There,
Without me.

There are so many,
People around me,
Yet I am,
Alone.

Alone I sit,
Alone I watch,
Alone I wait,
For you to come back.

But you won't,
We're over,
I'll just sit here,
Silently missing you.
