Greatest Fear

by Cait   May 4, 2005

Watching him love someone else,
Is the hardest thing I know.
It hurts me badly inside,
But i don't let it show.

Don't want to be look at,
As some obsessed freak,
but the tears keep coming,
like a faucet with a leak.

Memories are flowing by,
like a running water stream.
I know this shouldn't be happening,
if only it was a dream.

I wish I could be that girl,
getting held closely by.
Maybe for once he'll love me,
and not have it be a lie.

But nobody really knows,
the feelings I have inside.
Their hidden deep within,
But I can't let them hide.

I want to shout them out,
Tell him right away that
I'll love him always and forever,
if he could only say.

Those same words back to me,
the ones I long to hear,
Those simple words I love you,
whispered in my ear.

He told me he couldn't love me,
and gave me a kiss so meek.
As a silent, saddening tear,
came rolling down my cheek.

He turned and walked away,
as I wiped away my tear.
We would never be together,
and this was my greatest fear.

hun, do guys ever understand? nope. not unless they are your best friend, but thats different, because they understand your love for everyone else, but if it came to you loving them, they wouldnt have a clue. i love the poem chica- 5/5. look at a couple of mine?
