Plunging into the darkness

by Hannah Hannah Martin   May 5, 2005

Down I go
Plunge into the darkness
Falling falling falling
Hoping nothing will stab me
Hoping nothing will hurt my heart
Or take a dagger and rip open my feelings
Making me bleed
Making me cry
If I fall to the ground
Will anyone pick me up?
Will anyone see how hurt I am?
Or will be?
Till the end of life?
I’m an easy target
As I am huddled up in a corner
Crying and laughing
Laughing from stupidity of how I let go
The one I loved the most
Crying because now he is gone
Off into the world
Where I shall not see him
Or speak to him
Till the earth is gone
And the sunlight burns out
Leaving eternity empty
Leaving eternity dark
Leaving me alone
In the corner
Plunging into the darkness
