If you cannot

by Hannah Hannah Martin   May 5, 2005

If you cannot see the scrapes on my face
I find you blind
and a big disgrace

If you cannot smell the whisky on my shirt
I find you smelless
and as low as dirt

If you cannot see my bloodshot eyes
I find you stupid
And can't tell truth from lies

If you cannot feel my shaking legs
I find you crazy
And doesn't beg

Wish I could leave my life
And come back without any strife
But that can't be possible
I'm way to feable

really dark, mysterious. are you trying to get someone to see you? like a cry for help? I dunno what exactly your trying to say, maybe you can enlighten me? well, it sounded like a great poem. though i dont know the meaning, it seems to flow and the words are very descriptive.

    WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!!!! :)

I think maybe the rhyme is a little forced. Reading Leg/Beg just seemed really forced as it doesn't make much sense. I think the idea of this poem is really cool. A cry for help and opening up someone's eyes to your pain. Good thought.

A little change could make a world of difference in this piece.

    Take Care... :)
