In Memory of my friend, Ryan Price

by Nicole Heppner   May 5, 2005

I received a call the other day
A day like all he rest
And answered with my "happy" voice
The voice that I like best

How could I have known
How sad the call would be
A cry came from the other end
But still I did not see

The news came of an accident
The happened soon before
My heart sank, my body froze
As I dropped slowly to the floor

Tear came like rapid raindrops
Rolling quickly down my face
Feeling a quite sudden chill
My mind began to race

A life lost of someone close
A person I've known a while
A friend filled with so much love
One who could make you smile

Coming home from work that day
It had happened very fast
He was without a care in the world
Never knowing this would be his last

Paramedics said nothing could be done
He had died right away
It happened in an instant
And there was nothing left to say

He ended with a silent goodbye
As the angels took him up above
I know that he is happy
To take with him all our love

He gave such joyful memories
And helped fill my empty space
He is in my heart forever
Never to be replaced.
