My faith is gone
my hope has passed
through all these years
i thought we'd last.
Like a dimming star
I'll shatter in time
those twinkling specs
are my tears in the sky.
I loved you so
you loved me not
you'll never know
how hard i fought
to keep us together
for us to survive
but nothing could help
to keep us alive.
Though you have forgotten
i still hold on
everyday that i dream
is another sad song.
For you were the one
that kept me believing
but now i know
that false hopes are deceiving.
My friends give me strength
and erg me to move on
yet no matter the effort
i still sing this song.
I try to believe
but deep from within
is the resistance of faith
and guilt from my sins.
