Alone

by DarleneBreitfeld   May 5, 2005

She runs alone through the gravle, playing games on her own. Talking to herself...pretending someone is there to play with her. Pushing an empty swing, playing patty cake.. all alone. Asking other girls to play hopscotch, but getting ignored.

She goes to a home full of drinking and drugs. Not really knowing whats going on. The day she walks in on her father beating her mother to death. Her eyes wallow full of tears, and she says "Daddy don't hurt Mommy" her parents realize what they were doing, but a moment to late when she was taken.

The girl with the moth eaten clothes, nappy hair, and a stinky body that no one wanted anything to do with...in the shelter she took her own life when her pretend friend didn't even wanna play anymore.
