You see them on the streets,
crying and pleading,
for money or for food,
some are cold and screaming.
they pick up the rubbish,
that is left on the street,
they sleep in huddles
sleep without a peep.
they are all homeless,
and probably drugged up too
but most just want a new life
is that so hard to do?
i always see people walk past them
and give them dirty stares
they ask for money and a new life
but you just walk away without a care
they are always hungry
and have no shelter at all
they only have a blanket
to protect themselves from the cold weathers of fall.
you wouldn't believe what they've been through
i know i can tell
they always have scars on their faces
like they've just encountered hell
in morning they are always begging,
but at night its a different story,
people abuse them and hurt them
while they're sleeping or drawing
so now its my turn
to beg for your help
give money to Salvation Army
who can change heaven from hell
the homeless can have another chance at life
and even start a job
they will get some money
and then they're free on their own
who knows of what can become of the next homeless you help,
they could start a life again
and become something professional,
living life with no sorrow or pain
I'm pouring my heart on all of you reading,
give some money to the needy
or a charity
and stop being greedy
