Touching Down

by ntv650   May 5, 2005

I wondered as the plane was touching down,
About what happened last Friday.
The letter I just wrote while waiting to board,
Doesn’t do my feelings right.

I think it might just be a phase I’m going through,
But now I think about you ever day.
And how England seems to be getting kind of cold,-
The longer the distance grows.

I lay in bed another dream reminding me of my home,-
Every breath I take on foreign soil.
Wake up to go to school with a photo in my wallet.
And a picture of your face I drew.

Sitting in the bus a laugh reminds me of you,
Making my homesickness grow,
I’m already thinking about when you will write back,
And if it’s the first thing you’ll do.

It’s admitting that I won’t be near you tomorrow,
That creates this pain at night.
And realising how it’s already been far too long,
Because all I think about is you.

Well like I said keep up the writing. It's not my favorite of your poems but it's good. I love it when you put your feelings into it and stuff. Peace.
