Truthful Tears

by sHaTtErEdMiStAkE   May 5, 2005

This lonely girl
Sits in her room and cries
Everyday something happens
That makes her want to die.
She doesn't want to go to school
She just wants to cry all day
Hoping this will make her feel better
And make the pain go away.
Every once in awhile
She completely loses control
And she cuts herself
Knowing in the end her tears will still roll.
Down her pale cheeks
Falling to the ground
Hoping that when they do
They won't make a sound.
She stares out into space
At the same blue wall every night
Wishing that she has somebody there
To again, hold her tight.
Her music continuously plays
But she does not hear a thing
Because deep inside her soul
Her heart no longer sings
She's shattered and depressed
But mostly alone
She wants her friends and family
To know that she's not strong enough to make it on her own.
Her tears keep on falling
Will they ever go away?
It seems like the answer is "no"
Because they're here everyday
But by the end of this poem
You may ask me the question
Who this lonely girl could be
Well to tell you the truth
It's the one and only..........me.
