Lack Of Pride

by JustAFoolInLove   May 6, 2005

Every bad grade
Holds a moment in eternity
A memory that burns
Jagged holes in a future
Already scarred by failure

I remind you of the times
When success was not an option
When the only chance
For you to keep on running
Was to get the worst
On the lowest example of effort

Disappointment looms
Behind every feebly disguised glare
To show me how you’ll feel
When it all pours out in tears
Forced through thousand-year-dry eyes
By a son you only pray
Is not your own
And never will burden you
With his inability to induce pride

You -really- hate your father? or your parents??

I know it sounds lame, but im pretty sure they love you...they just show it in a poor way.

this would have been better if it was re titled depression. Because it really didn't hold to to the title. You painted alot of good images but none seemed to match it was like you were trying to take a bigger picture and chop it down so much so fast that you got lost in it. At least thats the way I saw it maybe another time...
