One Day

We were always together,
Joined at the hip,
We decided our future together and where we would live.
Although we were young we knew our friendship was true,
Was always there when the other one was blue.

Then one day you went away,
I had no idea when I'd see you again.
I see you every other summer if that,
And we always pick up from where we left off.

When we're together every-things alright,
When we're together we could laugh all through the night.

Many years I've spent wishing for you,
Wishing for things to be how they used to.
I feel so alone without you by side,
And now I don't know who I can turn to.

Don't get me wrong I've made new friends now,
But its not the same without you in my life.

I know its not your fault that you moved away,
I just wish you could of stayed.

There are so many things I want to share with you,
So many new people I'm anxious for you to greet.

I know one day I'll see you again,
We'll laugh and we'll cry thinking about our memories.
I wish the one day will arrive here soon,
I don't know how long I can cope without you...
