Broken Promises

You promised me heaven
But you put me through hell
Will I ever love another man?
Only time can tell.

I've cried a thousand rivers
And you've left me drowning
In my own tears
Only me they keep surrounding.

I'll be there forever and a day
To me you always promised
But forever was just a lie
You're not here, even almost.

So, I'm left with all these memories
That you've left behind
To run through everyday
Inside my lonely mind.

You promised me the ocean
And even the sky
None of these things i have
And i only ask why.

You promised me this and that
But your promises were just a lie
I can promise you this though
Never again will we try.
