All I Am Is Pain

by Richard   May 6, 2005

The color black is what I'm
seen wearing all the time.
The shadow behind my back
is what i lack.

If i could just get some sympathy, make all the pain go away,
I would give my life for this.

I cut a deep wound in my heart
tattooed a skull on my back.
Grow my hair long, so
no one can see my red eyes.
So that no one sees my sad face.

Everyone thinks life is a game,
people hurting in every way
flowers wither everyday,
because they can't take it anymore
because they aren't watered with love.

Nothings in the right place
Nothings ever there.
I feel so empty
Feel like waste.
The waters salty, like the tears
that flow down my cheek.

Cold and Red like the blood
on my lips, is what the world
seems to me, i need sometime
to find out who i am
i am to broken for love
to depressed , and easily
hurt, i don't want this pain anymore.

I empathize with this poem. I am hoping you don't still feel so much of the pain spoken of in the poem...if it's your true feelings (which it certainly seems so.)

"i am to broken for love
    to depressed, and easily
hurt, i don't want this pain anymore."

The "to" in those lines should be "too." And I think it'd be better to say "too easily hurt.." to make it parallel with the other two phrases. A little suggestion for you. :)

Anyway, I think you've got quite a gift for poetry.
