Lonely

Lonely is a crowded room and you’re all alone
Lonely’s when you go to sleep always on your own
Lonely is an empty room with just a single chair
And lonely’s when you think of him and know he doesn’t care
Lonely is as lonely does as lonely only knows
But mostly lonely’s just your fears given time to grow
So put aside the lonely thoughts try and take a hold
Forget about the angry words the stories that were told
Take yourself way back in time when your heart was whole
When lonely was a distant word meant only for the old
Lonely isn’t lonely when you have someone
And lonely isn’t lonely when there’s more than one
But if you want to lose the lonely tag you have to make a start
You have to mix and mingle you have to be a part
You have to overcome your hurt must be born again
It’s not so much a question but more of time and when
