My Lifetime Rock

Just a pass of his hand crossed over my shoulder,
so many chill bumps, I thought I was colder.
We hurried up and didn't tarry,
But I knew Then, its he'd that I'd marry......

Just three weeks later we headed out, and secretly said "I Do"
I said that I loved you, and you said, "Me too"

Now after 25 years of pure wedded bliss,
your still the one I love to kiss.

Two beautiful children that have now left home.
they started their lives, their both now grown.

And on a late night before we lay down,
or at the movies, or somewhere in town,
your hand may slip across my shoulder,
and I know for sure its not getting colder..

I just let myself feel that same little shock,
of knowing that, Mark is my lifetime rock.
