High above this fireball

by Sabine Taylor   May 7, 2005

The silence
We share in this room
As our thoughts flow
Through the air
Clear and pure
To you and me
The pressure is all around

As the silence crashes
Your notions and mine
Collide in the middle
Of this room
A hot red fireball floats
In the space
Between you and me
High above

Flames dangerous and bright
Build out of our thought
None will give up
Nourishes this fire
More and more
Give it intense

The game yet uncontrollable
This fire near to engulf us soon
We know
This battle can’t be won anymore
But it is hard to give in
Because this shining flame
Yet hypnotized me and you

The pressure in this room
Makes our bodies shake
Excitement , no fear
Anger , no hate
Let us fight this argument
High above this fireball
Watching over both of us
Ready to see this situation explode

Exhausted and tired
Of this verbal and mental fight
We desire the silence
Let this pressure fall away
That shortens our bodies
Our mind yet not clear anymore
This battle has to be lost
Or this fireball will eat us up

So very true... If only we could extinguish our fire balls would we be able to have peace. Read some of my work if you find the time.
