War again?

by Sinister Soire   May 7, 2005

Sitting on the battle fields
Of wars from in the past
I cannot help but wonder
How long this peace will last

How much time do we have
To recover from the wars
How long will it really take
For the bodies to wash from the shores

Too many times have battles raged
With the cost of life too great
We rush in to it headstrong
With vision clouded by hate

The fields have time to recover
And our populations to restore
But the mental scaring that took place
Should still be raw and sore

The time to fight against the fighting
Has come and almost gone
Take haste in striving for the goal
Before war devours dawn

Good reflections, nice begining, very true. you create a tension which you manage to keep to the very last word, and a little more...;)
