Raindrops

I don't know how much longer I can play along
Smile to the heavens when everything is wrong
Laugh and dance away, yet inside I am dying
As I slip into the corner and continue crying

Take me away from here, I am trying so hard
As my heart shatters, fragments and shards
Dreams something I cannot relate to
Thinking of nothing else but you

I am sitting tears sliding slowly down my cheeks
Bottled and labelled, a loser and a freek
A liar and I cannot see the way out of here
With these words whispering in my ear

Raindrops pelt against the clouded window
My breath steams it up, as I let it go
Water running down, hail shattering my ears
Trickling down in lines and patterns like my tears

The wind, buffeting at the frozen night
I run through it in terror, Too scared to fight
Let me draw blood for it proves I am real
Let the wind whip me up, let me stay unhealed
