Your Heart's Bitter Revenge

by HOLLY ARMER   May 7, 2005

Your heart breaks
Shattering in my grasp
Pieces fall, scattering
like fragments of glass

Cutting my hands menacingly
inflicting bitter revenge
Though I find it soothing
like an alcoholic's binge

But your pain severely
echoes through anguished cries
As I see the damage
shadowing your withered eyes

Recoiling from aggression
begging to feel numb
I am the creator of
all you're to become!

You can feel the anger, can't you? I love the lines 'inflicting bitter revenge' and 'i am the creator' . Imagery's a beaut!
