In her dreams

Her life was changed in a blink of an eye
it happened 7 years ago
her heart will never let go
of the pain and loss
she trys to drink her pain away yet
it just gets worse
she sleeps with a picture of her son
in her head she dreams of him
growing old, marrying, and having children of his own but she wakes to find
an empty heart and tear filled eyes as
she wakes a painful day, everyday
remembering her son, her one
and only son is not here anymore
except in her dreams and heart
