That Table

by Patrick Mcdaniel   May 8, 2005

Do you remember, that table?
That table we all sat at,
Laughing and smiling?
Don't you remember it? I do.
I remember that table,
I remember you.
I remember what you had to eat,
The sound of your laugh,
And which one was your seat.
I remember the feeling,
I remember the ways,
I'll never forget your healing,
I'll never forget the days.

So even though you're gone,
Do you think someday we could meet?
And to relive the past, we could take a seat.

We could laugh and smile, again like the past,
And maybe this time, the moment could last.
And the laughs and love we shared, no word
Could label,
Except for two words, those words being

'That Table'
