Doorstep

by Dorotea©   May 8, 2005

Searching and craving for somewhere to abide

My fate; at the doorstep to reside

Aching for serenity which is denied

Doorstep; peace and seeking to divide

Between the fracture death shall come with no pride

Flicker of hope will die out inside

The clutching will to yearn for peace will subside

No peace did this search to soul provide

Endless striving for destruction to confide

My fate; yearning at the doorstep died

Okay nobody seems to understand this poem. It has to do with leaving behind everything...and yet never getting to the place you were searching for. You find the doorstep yet you must stay there.

    alec,
thanks for telling me what u really think. well you see this poem is definitly not that good, but i wrote it to portray my life...and i know it might be dull for someone who doesn't know me..but i was hoping people would understand it in their own way. thanks for reading and commenting,
