Poets...

by katie!   May 8, 2005

Words spun into a spiderweb of golden silk
Moulded in the minds of the gentle poet
Words pour out through the nib of their pens
As their life is spun, and weaved all the way through it

Aspirations and dreams, poured into those sentences
Magic flows through the tips of their fingers
Darkness floods effortlessly into a master piece
Lives spread out on a page, the fantasy lingers

Poets of all ages, empty their soul onto the page
Tales of pain and sorrow, along with broken hearts
Mixed with fantasies, wonders and excitement
Shared with the world, agonies of being far apart

Create an image that stands out, flies from the screen
Like a caged bird released, but afraid to fly
Stand upon a mountain, with a song upon your lips
Stare upon this art, the fire in their eyes

A very detailed description of a poet. Many can relate to this, I am sure. A poem simply for a poem. Read some of my work if you find the time.
